I like how the director references his own movie
The dad in the movie said he took his son to see a movie which he described to be awfully simliliar to Paul Brickman's (the Director) earlier movie, "Risky Business". Pretty funny.

In Clockwork Orange, you can the soundtrack to 2001 in the record store. In the movie It, you can see a book called "The Glowing" (obviously a play on King's The Shining).
