Alternate ending.

Here's an alternate ending that I think should have happened.

The day after Piggy's death and Ralph is chased all over the island, he isn't seen under the tree by Roger. He runs to the beach. The other boys are way on the other end of the island, so it would be some time before they found him.

Ralph tells the Navy officer that it's only him on the island. There were two more, but they died.

Ralph is put aboard the helicopter. The helicopter takes off as the savages gather on the beach and watch. They are abandoned on the island and we are left wondering their fates.

Although the savages are initially shocked, Jack tells them that this is what they wanted: A dream world of no adults and no rules. The savages quickly get over it and resume hunting.

Is that how it should have ended?
Would it be realistic enough?

That would've been amazing. Much better.

That is sort of funny. I think part two, from your ending could be a comedy since the so called savages are not fighting each other on the island. We could have a lot of funny pranks like on Gilligan's Island, but with a little more nudity this time, like in the original. I think it could be most cool.

Jack should had died

If Jack did die, then Roger would have been next in line to be chief. If that happened, Roger would want to avenge Jack, seeing as how they were close friends in the movie.

Killing Jack wouldn't work.

Yeah, cos Ralph and Jack never got on with each other at all either...

I think it highly likely that with Ralph gone (be it murder or rescue) Roger would be more then happy to kill Jack and take over the tribe. He had no hesitation in squishing Piggy just... because...

I'm kinda surprised he called Jack when he spotted Ralph at the end. Seeing as he was the sole cause of Piggy's death, I would have figured him as wanting to capitalise on it and do Ralph by himself too. Remember, he was the first to actually spear a wild boar/pig also. Definite blood lust on his part, and certainly being the first to kill a boar and killing the two people from the 'enemy' camp, he would be riding high enough to challenge Jack for leadership. Not least because Jack had made at least one concession to the other camp (inviting them to the barbecue) - which could have been seen by some as a weakness on his part.

If I was Jack and Ralph got rescued, my first priority would be to get rid of Roger... I would know I was in his sights next!
