you obviously don't have any taste in movies. This is a classic comedy. To put Dan Akroyd as genius cop with multiple personalities, one word. Genius.
Lighten up and take the movie for what it is a funny movie.
Sorry... but this is a really bad movie. There is nothing "genius", or even remotely redeeming about this piece of trash.

How dare you say Akroyd can't act you *beep* its not his fault he gets mediocre roles. At least he doesn't ruin good roles like Bill Murray who is always a drag.

shareWith almost any bad film, I can usually point to some aspect of it....sound, filming, locations, a particular actor's performance....and say "there is something good in this horrible film." With this film.....there is nothing. It is really that bad and should never have been made. Why Hackman would agree to make this is a mystery.
