The shows split continuity. after the episode 'War of Heroes' in the original OVA.
In 'Chronicles of the Heroic Knight', Woodchuck didn't get posessed, because the contunity split off from the OVA before then.
I'd have to rewatch again, but I'm not cetain it was ever established in the T.V. series what happened to Woodchuck. It was however re-established that Karla had possessed him because I do remember that when Neese, on her deathbed, was communicating with Karla, she invisioned Karla using Woodchuck's body as a vessel
shareIn the original OVA Karla takes over his body. His fate after that is unknown. Did she discard him for a female body to possess? Or was he killed and she took over whomever next came near her artifact?
