I wish

I wish there would have been a follow up to this film where Ken Foree, Joe Unger and Jennifer Banko would have been able to return along with Caroline Williams, tying all three films together.

It would have been cool if elements of part 4 existed like Vilmer and the four teens lost on prom night. Maybe Leatherface catches up to Benny and Michelle, kills her and Benny gets away. Eventually ending up at a police station where Stretch is trying to get statements (about all those bodies). Finally, Benny gets the local Sheriff to go back to the house with him, with Stretch going with him to finally put an end to the Sawyer family. Meanwhile, a group of teens stranded on prom night become prey to Leatherface as they end up finding the house.

It could have been revealed that the family in 3 are like cousins, uncles whatever.

I think it would have been really awesome. I thought all this up as I was bored working third shift. I do hate coming up with a sequel that could never be made though since its 25 years later.

New Line wanted a franchise, but it wasn't a box office hit. They planned a 4 and 5. 5 would have shown Leatherface unmasked. Ironically the remake, the fifth film altogether did that.

I actually like NEXT GENERATION, but can't help but wonder if there's an alternate universe when 3 was successful enough for more sequels.

Yes, it would be awesome to see all of them cast in another TCM movie. With all the TV shows being made as sequels to horror movies now, the next Friday the 13th supposedly being an origin story, and the next Halloween supposedly being another reboot of the franchise I suppose anything is possible. I was delighted to see Marilyn Burns, Gunnar Hansen, and Bill Moseley in Texas Chainsaw 3D even though they were playing different characters. I just never expected to see them in another TCM related movie.
