B O R I N G

So about half the Users or Critics gave this a 4.5 or Okay rating... Hmmm.
We (very patiently) got through 45 minutes of this Whatever, before ejecting the disc. Sorry, but if one needs to wait 45- to an hour for any "gore action" to occur, the film's a bomb - which this ultimately is.

Between bad acting and slow production... Pass

I like it. But to any gore hounds, even the uncut version of this is pretty tame by today's standards.

Yes, for more than one reason it is a peace of garbage. For one it is the described like or action. Personally I don't like the gore not because it's scary but because it is a cheap scare that most people don't care about.

What makes the love crap is that, for one, it is almost entirely the same as the original in concept, and two, is that it takes itself less seriously and has jokes and dumb humor. It makes the viewer take everything less seriously.

I agree with the OP. Probably explains why this movie grossed only $5 million.

100% waste of time.

Son, you can't polish a turd

Agreed, how they dropped the ball with something so simple is beyond me. The trailer and even title sell the idea of an OTT return of Leatherface. A cheesy horror/action movie with dark comedy.

What you get is a half ass lose retelling of the original film with TV movie style direction and wasted actors. KEN *beep* FOREE!!!

I think it's just okay. Not great like the first two but not terrible either. My main problem was that the two main characters (Michelle and Ryan) weren't particularly interesting. I felt indifference towards them which isn't good when a great portion of the film is centered around them. But when they get to the Sawyers' house the movie gets a lot better. I loved the family of killers. As it stands I give the movie a 7/10.

Spoken like an ADD-riddled teenager. Plenty of films ramp up the tension before release and are the better for it. This film isn't necessarily one of them, but not every film is a bomb just because it doesn't give you the money-shot(s) right away.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

It's a masterpiece compared to the parody *beep* that was the 2nd movie.
