Filming location

Im confused.
There is a Trivia that says that filming location is behind Magic Mountain,but I was on chat with Jeff Burr who says that house was on Veluzat Movie Property Melody Ranch,there is a page that says that house was at Sable Ranch,and that it was in Topanga Canyon.What about woods I put that filming location of the woods is Valencia, California,because of the claim in the Trivia,that there were series of fire,as far as I know there are no woods in Valencia.Jeff Burr says that house wasn't moved from its original place,but there is a page that claims diffrent.

I may be adding to the confusion, but on a making-of featurette on the DVD Burr states that some outdoor scenes (unclear as to which) were shot at Newhall Ranch which is an unrealized property development and is near Magic Mountain.

If go to Google Maps and search for "Newhall Ranch, Santa Clarita, CA" the map will show a large, open area with woods and mountains that is near Magic Mountain.

As to what was filmed at this location is difficult to determine, but according to Burr's own statement in the making-of, this location was used. As to what was filmed, I don't know and it may very well be that Burr does not or cannot remember either.
