Jeans torn at the knees.

I was surprised, when I watched part of this movie (mostly for Melora Hardin), that one of the dancers in the club was wearing jeans with holes torn--I assume deliberately, as some kind of fashion statement--in the knees. I didn't think that stupid fashion fad went back to 1990. Were people also wearing their baseball caps backwards, or wearing wool hats in August and shorts in February? (You people in warmer climates may not be aware of it, but there are people in areas that get cold in winter who actually wear shorts in February. I'm not making this up.)
