In the movie, her dream was to date a dentist & I think her character name was Kathy. I don't see her name in the credits, & she looks really familiar.

"Cassie" was played by Lisa Ort according to IMDB. Seems to have been an actual Laker Girl. But the credit could be wrong.
She looks a bit like Jeepers Creepers' Gina Philips.
Many thanks, I think your mention of Gina Philips is correct. Her IMDb page displays her first listing as 1992, so a missing 1990 credit for "Laker Girls" seems like a reasonable possibility.
I saw the movie on DVD this year & I was sure I'd seen her in other TV/movies, but couldn't place her. When I did an internet image search of various cast members (incl. Lisa Ort), no one looked like her. I need the eventual closure when I can't find an actor's name on IMDb or the internet. :) Thank you for solving the mystery!
