were the krays teddy boys in the early 50's?

i was just wondering if the kray brothers were 'teddy boys' in the early 50's,as i had noticed there clothing during the pre-boxing scene to be sort of semi-teddy boyish?
any one have an idea?

I don't think they were much followers of any particular trends however I have read Reg Kray's autobiography and he says he is a fan or 1950's R&R such as Fats Domino, Elvis, etc. Also, from some of the photos I have seen of them in the 1950's I imagine that they socialised with quite a few teds as a lot of their associates in various photos dress in edwardian suits with the slicked up haircuts.

It's more than likley they had connections to the Teddyboy scene since it was such a popular youth movement during the 1950's.

The Krays' rival gang boss Charlie Richardson certainly was.
