I know they were partners and best friends and that line isnt weird, But the kiss on the lips that follows ruins the scene it makes it seem like they were secret lovers, if he kissed him on the head, but the lips, david caruso character was irish not italian.

I'm pretty sure he did kiss him on the forehead, but the angle is so low it's hard to tell.

You mean the part when Tommy was dieing?

He was attempting CPR as far as I could tell.

re watch the scene, After tommy is dead he says I love you tommy, then he kisses him right on the lips. even my mother who is 60 years old asked if they were lovers, it's the way the scene is played.

I saw the scene twice in a row. He kissed Tommy on the forehead after he said "I love you Tommy".

He kissed him on the forehead. It clearly shows it in the DVD.

Kissed him on the forehead. He was giving CPR moments before.

But I did feel the I love you line was too much, made it feel homosexual. Just moments before, Fishburne asked Snipes “Where’s your girlfriend?,” alluding to his partner.
