Was a scene cut and are we missing something here?

I saw this on tv and the tv listings mag said the film was edited for violence.

I think they might well have cut the most important scene of the whole movie - the murder! I was waiting for it and it never came.

We saw the woman she murdered come into the room with an axe and warning her of stay away from her husband and then it just cut to the next scene at court!

I'm SURE there must have been a scene where she wrenches the axe away from the woman and turns on her. Am I right? And was this scene cut or did it never exist? There was no discernable violence in the rest of the movie so I'm wondering what the hell was cut as it was all rather tame but damn good!

Yes, there is a semi-graphic scene of what happens in the laundry room between Peggy and Candy.
Its quite disturbing.

Well next time there's a film in the afternoon on channel 5 I'll know not to bother watching it then because they cut the most important scene in the film!
