I just read that Candy changed her name to Candace Walker and she and her family moved to Atlanta after the trial and she and her husband separated eventually. Allen remarried and they were accused of abusing the kids. They both were given to Betty's parent's and they are now grown.The oldest is married with a child and the youngest is in college. They think Candy is not telling all of the story and sadly don't remember their mother.Allen seemed to be very cold and callous to betty after and I think Candy should have went to prison for some length of time as she demolished that poor woman.Extreme overkill and disregard for life.I would'nt have wanted to be in her position for the world, but if I saw Betty with a ax I would'nt have went to the laundry room, I'd high tailed it out the door. I think Betty might have had PMS as she was about to start her period and was on edge about Allen leaving for a trip.My sympathies are with Betty and her family as they seemed to have been treated harshly.

Candy lives under her maiden name of wheeler. The blankenship children were adopted by their mothers parents. Some sort of abuse did go on with the step mother, she made them read the book about the case and withheld food from them as punishment
