Can't believe she got away with it

And that childhood story, I mean c'mon.

Seriously - the whole thing was totally bogus, as is ANY story where some killer pretends that they had no memory of the crime. Kenneth Bianchi tried that "fake hypnosis" crap but, with him, it didn't work.

Also, Candy's whole church, bible school, best friends with Peggy (people later said that Peggy/Betty never even liked Candy that much), puppy sweetness, bringing food to Stan and the kids after the murder, the sewing 'something yellow' sentence, love/closeness with Peggy's/Betty's kids, the frumpster clothes, and all of that whole overly sweet, angelic, perfect Christian old-fashioned housewife routine she put on really bugged me. If you read the two-part article "Love and Death in Silicon Prairie...." (Texas Monthly) the affair went on way longer than in the movie, she had kept doing things all along (leaving notes and presents on his car on a daily basis....cooking for him....etc.) to keep him coming back, she did NOT want to let him go, she told him she was in love with him and couldn't live without him, and she was in shock after he and his wife had been to 'Marriage Encounter' and had turned over a new leaf (including having s*x again), and then told Candy that he never wanted to be with her again. He dumped her in the worst way, and she freaked over it.
