I think that someone should make a live action Jetsons movie. Just a thought. Who would you cast??

Wow. Incredible that you would post this just yesterday. Actually a little over a half hour ago.(I'm central time and this will show up as July 7, but it's 1:21am, July 8.) I have been thinking about this for the past week or so. I only have one sure fire idea for casting.

Mr. Spacely has got to be Danny DeVito. Nobody can argue against this. If anyone tries to argue that, they're a straight up moron.
Astro would obviously be a CGI dog like in the Scooby Doo movies.
Rosie would be a CGI robot.
I don't know about the rest of the casting, but Danny DeVito MUST be Mr. Spacely.

Looking forward to other input on characters.
I hope they'll make this movie.

They had talked of doing a live action version back in the '80's, with Chevy Chase as George Jetson.

I don't know why that project got shelved.

George Jetson: Ray Romano from "Everybody Loves Raymond"
Wife Jane: No clue
Daughter Judy: Paris Hilton
Elroy: No clue
Mr.Spacely: Who else but Danny boy
Other roles:
-That little tiny alien Furball character should be played by one of the Gremlins
-Astro the dog is basically a CGI Scooby-Doo colored grey

Spacey- danny Devito, He was born for that part
The mom-Geena Davis
The daughter-Kirsten Dunst
The Son-it was haley joel osmont before he got old

I always thought of Steve Martin for George Jetson. I think he looks the part, well, he did 10 years ago. Ray Romano isn't a bad choice for George Jetson either.

Jane Jetson - Kari Wuhrer (hot mum from Eight Legged Freaks)
Judy Jetson - AnnaSophia Robb (Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory - if she's old enough)
Elroy Jetson- maybe the twins from Every body loves Raymond
Mr Spacley - well there's still only one choice DEVITO!!!!!

the dog should be animated and the robot should be made by Stan Winston

i think Tim Burton would be perfect to direct
