I remember reading in the last couple of years about the passing of Elizabeth Peña.

I'm genuinely enormously saddened by this when I think about her.

She was a very talented actress and a very beautiful woman who died well before her time.

I love 'Jacob's Ladder'.

This woman was part of it's beating, visceral heart - right down to where she plunges Jacob into the bath of ice water.

This film would not be what it is without her.

RIP Elizabeth Peña - you are not forgotten.

Poor girl drank herself to death.

She was my motivation to finally watch this in its entirety, first time tonight

I only saw her in a few movies but she was a 27%-er, a bit like Kevin Bacon - any film she’s in is improved by 27% simply by having her in it.

She was an essential part of this film. They actually filmed and deleted her ‘death’ scene where she becomes a huge winged demon which then reveals itself to be a reflection of Jacob.
