I've never understood why so many adults rave about the 1990s IT TV movie and this one, because it's essentially a kids Disney movie with a few jump scares.

Kids should never be in horror movies, unless they're evil twins, or aliens like in Village of the Damned.

Kids becoming friends and growing up, is NOT HORROR. It's so boring.

I want to see adults in horror movies. Not children.

The first half of the story is about kids. This isn't Happy Days. You need kids to do that.

Well, not really. The bit with the kids in was the most interesting part of the story.

I don't necessarily agree. It depends on the story being told, doesn't it?

I do think I prefer the format of the book where the adult kids began getting in touch with one another about their pact to return and there was a huge mystery about what had happened to them as children... yet for us to discover.
It helped also with a bit of the sameness of Pennywise repeated attempt to keep the children in a state of terror..
