Funny Things I Noticed while Watching "It" (spoilers)

I read the book recently and then checked out the movie again for the hundredth time. For some reason this is the first time I noticed funny things that happen throughout the movie.

1. Adult Richie telling his fat, short friend that he needs to leave and can't explain. The guy practically becomes hysterical and takes it so personally, ending with him running out and slamming the door.

2. Of all the big details of the book that get left out of the movie, they leave in one minor but funny detail. They did not need to put Officer Nell in the movie but they did anyway, and they even kept his Irish heritage and personality.

3. How and why did that gym teacher know that Eddie had not showered?

4. Betty-Ruth Claire. All one word!'

5. When Pennywise takes the form of Stan's severed head in the refrigerator and speaks through him, he talks with a semi-jewish accent.

6. Sparks stark flying when Bev hits the dead lights on Pennywise/Spider, which was kind of foolish on the filmmakers' part. It just hammers home how fake the whole spider looks.

7. You can hear Tim Curry screaming in the background as they rip out Pennywise's heart. I never noticed this before.

8. Sidenote: Not anything funny, but I love how the institution guard drops a roll of quarters on the floor when he sees Pennywise. It's nice little nod to people who have read the book. Those who have know what I mean.

Eddie's sweaty smell, maybe?

I assumed this wasn't the first gym class after his mother told him not to shower, and word had gotten out from the other boys.

Thats funny because im watching it right now

I always heard the screaming during the spider but for years always assumed it was one of the gang screaming with anger as they attack it. Wasn't until I had the subtitles on the dvd that said Pennywise screaming.

I think Pennywise asking Audra over and over "don't you want it?" was hilarious.
