i haven't seen this.
but someone remarked on the similarity to "twin peaks" ; however, note the two main characters are Laura Dern and Nicolas Cage, the stars of another Lynch film, "Wild at Heart."
also, note the presence of Angelo Badalamenti, who often scores Lynch's films as well. (and sometimes - Mulholland Dr. - acts in them!)
This is a symphony with julee cruise on vokals and music by angelo badalamenti and david lynch. While she is singing, weird things happens around her. It is not a movie, but has some classic david lynch moments in it... Laura Dern and Nick Cage plays sailor and lula (the same characters as in wild at heart, and yes i know thath they are listed as heartbroken woman and heartbreaker), but they are only on the screen for a minute. Anyway, this might remind someone about twin peaks because of julee cruises performance, but I dont think it does..

shareNot fair to just call it Twin Peaks The Musical. It has that little guy from the Red Room in a central, but still different role. Thats the biggest similarity I can see. Its stands on its own feet I think.
I agree, that there's more to this than just a Twin Peaks angle, yes some of the actors that appear in TP are in this (stage-)production, but the only characters that are taken from another work are indeed those of Nick Cage and Laura Dern. (Some of the music featured in TP did however first appear in this production.) It seems more likely that this an early study for the Club Silencio sequence in Mulholland Drive, or possibly Lynch's attempt to put on a true stage production; one that never saw the light of day, but rather captured on film.
