Extremely Funny!
The comedic timing of Elaine May and Marlo Thomas is dead on in this gem of a movie. It's a shame it wasn't seen by more people. Great droll performance from Jeannie Berlin also.
Wow I thought I was the only one who had seen this movie and liked it. I watch this movie all time and I think it is one of the funniest movies ever. I was so happy when I finally got to purchase it. I thought Elaine May and Marlo Thomas were so funny in their roles.
share Where did you buy this movie? The IMDB thing says it's only available in Canada, and only on VHS. I saw this movie a long time ago and loved it. I didn't know the name of it til just now when I finally remembered to look up Marlo Thomas to cross reference it, because I remembered she was in it, and was hilarious.
If they were to make a 3rd installment variation of "Meet the Parents" I wish she'd be written a good chunky part as a relative (which side of the family I'm not decided). But if the writers could base a character for her on her "In the Spirit" rold, it'd be sweet! Can you just imagine Robert DeNiro's character's reactions to her character?

I found it on ebay and it was VHS. Very cheap too. I would love it if they made a sequel to it. This is one of my favorite movies. Oh man if they brought Reva into those movies that would be so hilarious!!
