This movie has a connection to both Robocop 1 & 2.

The actor who plays Kinney in Robocop plays White Boy # 1. Also the building where the liquor store hold up takes place in the beginning of the film is actually the gun shop that is blown up & robbed by the thugs in the beginning of Robocop 2. Robocop 2 was filmed in Houston. Look at the building to the left of the liquor store in I Come In Peace. It is the same building where Robo interrogates the robber about Nuke after the shoot out.

And ROBOCOP 2 was shot by the same DP, Mark Irwin (also responsible for the early Cronenberg movies, SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO, SCREAM, PASSENGER 57, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY and many more)

And in the blu ray featurette they talk about the Robocop gun being used in Dark Angel (and how they melted hundreds of firing pins)
