Alec Baldwin in "Mission Impossible 5"
Somebody on that movie's IMDb board suggested that he could in theory, be an interpretation of an older version of Jack Ryan:

If you follow the 'Ryaniverse' he ends up as Deputy Director of the CIA and eventually President.Quite the opposite of what he was in MI:RN.
It's quite a nice idea though. There've been a few other movies where that kind of casting happens. Just can't think of any right now!
She's a man, it's a sled, he's dead already.

Can Air Force One with Harrison Ford be considered another Jack Ryan movie?
No, because Ford was a HORRIBLE Jack Ryan.
shareI agree, and I always thought Ford was too old for the part. The producers should have waited for Alex to be free to do more Jack Ryan, but Baldwin said, that it was kharma that he didn't do another. But he was the best, and Ben Afleck would have been good too in later roles.
shareBuy wait, what if they fused the actors into an creature called 'Ben Aflec Baldford' and created the ULTIMATE JACK RYAN!
