I came to the IMDB site to see who wrote it.

I would have bet that this was written by Elmore Leonard. Someone copied his style.

Anyone else see his style in this film?

Yes some elements of Elmore Leonard's writing is very evident in the movie. The femme fatale's double crossing to the bank robbery is something which would be in his novels.

I think it's just noir style, which both the author of the book this film was adapted from and Leonard use. I actually thought of Jim Thompson when I was watching this film.

hmmmmm. i can 'kinda' see that, a little. not really though.

elmore has more quippy dialogue. and also must faster paced dialogue. this film drags on so slow and moody, it's more like an arthouse indie a la cassavettes or lynch.

leonard's style is a bit 'louder'

but eh, you may be right. i'd say this smacks a bit of elmore's earlier stuff like 52 pickup, maybe
