Reminds me of another 1990 film
This movie reminds me of Jim Thompson's After Dark, My Sweet--both of them with compelling drifters who screw up and then don't, then screw up, then don't, then....Anyway, 1990 was a good year for such.
shareIt reminds me of Don Johnsons 1985 TV version of The Long Hot Summer. Another role where hes a shady drifter comes into town , gets a job and romances svrl of the local ladies while tryng to make a big score. Both films were set in the period of their filming but could have been set in any time from the late 80s back to the 50s with the mix of modern and vintage cars and roatarey phones.
