I just don't see it working very well. In this day and age, Kevin would pull his tricks, Harry and Marv would get injured, sue his parents for everything they've got and end up doing the talk show circuit.

It will of course be gender and race swapped. Proabably be lesbian parents. The 2 burglars will be left alone becuase you know white bad guys.

Also as someone said on a popular social media platform all the kid would do in this modern age is facetime his parents on his apple phone which they most certainly will have and the film ends.

It will be a complete disaster.

This is perhaps the most unnecessary remake of all time. The original film is still great and I can't imagine what new could be added by remaking it.

I am not always opposed to remakes but I just see no reason at all for this one. But hey, maybe they'll prove me wrong.

What they need to do, in my opinion, the only thing that could turn this likely trainwreck into a classic of its own right:

Cast Macaulay Culkin as one of the robbers
