Why didn't the pizza guy call the cops?

I guess in 1990 you don't call the cops when someone fires a gun at you.

Because the writers didn't think it would be funny, and the director agreed, so they never filmed it.

It's a comedy movie. Settle down.

He doesn't want to risk his job. If he were to file a report, then Little Nero's would be associated with the crime of a customer. The delivery boy would be blamed for the ruined reputation of the pizza parlor, and likely find it difficult to get hired in the area again.

How does is even make sense?? As far as I know a company doesn't lose its name due to criminal activities in which thry are victims and not the ones who commited the crime. Especially for running away from a shooting.

TaRaNRoD, that is the way that it ought to be, but some members of society are so impressionable that they leap to the wrong conclusions whenever they receive the slightest bit of information. If people were to hear that a pizza delivery boy has been threatened with gunshots through a story that lacks clear details, then they might think that the customer has acted out of defense. Moreover, the young man's word would have little credibility because the unidentified culprit would not be present at the recorded address. Those would cause local residents to believe that Little Nero's has dangerous staff, and Little Nero's to think that its employee is just slandering them.

One of the many possibilities: he wanted to stay off the mafia’s hit list. He heard what this wise guy sounded like and after what happened he assumed he was dealing with a psycho mobster. XD

Either way, that scene is so goddamn hilarious.

I was thinking that he was too afraid to get involved. Although in real life, I think he would at least tell his boss who would most likely call the police.
