I still side with Kevin instead of his family after all these years

Buzz shouldn't have ate all of Kevin's pizza and Uncle Frank shouldn't have called him a little jerk at the dinner table during the Holiday season.

reply

I think his mother and father shouldn't have had any kids and saved up for a nice retirement somewhere hot and cheap to spend their later years instead of looking after all the moochers in that family.

But hey, that's just me!

reply

Watching Christmas movies already?

reply

Yeah, his siblings weren't very nice at all.. they were self involved in this movie..

reply

I always assumed most people sympathized with Kevin.

reply

Yeh sending a kid to the attick was wrong too. Also forgetting him twioce

reply

Also, what about Kate NOT doing the head count herself and instead having one of the kids do it?

reply

Yeah the parents should maybe be responable for head counting their own kids?

reply

Yeah, that was Kevin's dinner and no one cared that his older and fatter brother ate it. The parents didn't even scold Buzz. And it's not like Kevin did much in retaliation. If I recall, he pushed Buzz and knocked over some Pepsi.

And don't forget Home Alone 2 where Buzz starts messing with Kevin on stage during a school Christmas concert to make the audience laugh. The parents didn't care until Kevin gave him a shove for being a jerk.

Same. Kevin did have an attitude, but can you blame him? Buzz was a grade A jerk who enjoyed getting Kevin into trouble and no one would ever bother to say anything to him (this is especially true in Home Alone 2). What’s more, the freeloading Uncle Frank treated Kevin like crap, all his siblings and cousins seemed to dislike him, and of course his parents essentially let everyone walk all over him. His aunt seemed to be the only who treated him fairly.

Though in the sequel, not all of Kevin’s behavior was completely justifiable. I mean I know Harry and Marv were lowlifes that threaten to shoot Kevin, but to be frank, Kevin got a bit too sadistic with his traps. No? It is no surprise he grew up to become the villain of the Saw franchise. :D

I always side with Kevin against his family. In the first movie, he politely asks Buzz if he can sleep in his room, and Buzz is mean to him. He then lies and scares him about Old Man Marley. Buzz either doesn't order cheese pizza or really does eat it all. Kevin defends himself, and of course, he gets in trouble and Buzz gets off Scott free. His parents are jerks, and let Uncle Frank, Buzz, and the rest of the family treat him like dirt.

They were even worse in the second movie with the Christmas pageant. Chances are, in the second movie, had Kevin not given Buzz a shove, Buzz would have still given his fake apology and then Kevin would have gotten in trouble for not accepting it. So it didn't matter. Kevin lived in a world of idiots.
