I love home alone

I love this movie very much. I watch it every year at Christmas. I used to be so scared of the furnace in the basement.

So you should. I always thought the furnace was funny.

This is probably why a lot of people got involved with this film. It taps into the main fear of being left home alone for the first time with no babysitter. Of course, this film didn't do it in a serious way, which I think was the problem with it. It went for slapstick that I didn't laugh at and I certainly didn't fall for the crap about the next door neighbor. Read To Kill a Mockingbird or see that film and you'll see that's where they got this plot element from.

That's cool but at least the traps were done at the right time and did not resort to cheesy cartoon sound effects when the bad guys get hurt. I love Joe and Dan's authenticity.

I love it too but it took some years to grow on me. I was 17 when it came out and really didn't want to see it as I felt I was too grown up for this so called "kids movie". I went reluctantly and came out of there thinking it was pretty good but it really took me some years to get around to watching it again. The more I watch it the more I started to like it. Now it's like a total nostalgia trip for me as it reminds me of 90/91 and it's such a classic now. I make sure I watch it every Christmas but also a few times sprinkled in the year too.
