How do you know he was only 66?

shareI doubt the actor looked as 'old' in his private life. The beard and dated hairstyle made him appear older, but just how old do you think he really looked? 70? He was hardly decrepit and was certainly pretty sturdy and in good shape.
shareI agree he looked 86 lol, but people born before 1935 or so I think got old and acted old much sooner than people who grew up with rock and roll/teenage/youth culture. He would've come of age during the Depression and World War II, that kind of hard life would age anybody.
If you compare a 66 year old of 1990 to a 66 year old Baby Boomer of today who could've went to Woodstock...massive difference. :)
I thought he was a good 10 years older 66 year old's don't look that mature today 66 year old's who take care of themselves can easily pass for 10 years younger.

he looks about 44 maybe it's the beard he looks a lot older than 34 34 year old's today don't look that mature people who are 34 who take good care of their skin can pass for a good 10 years younger.
shareYeah people did seem to age faster back then. I've seen pictures of people from the 60s and 70s when they were in high school and some of them looked like they were at least in their 30s.

yeah true Pat Morita was only 51 during the filming of Karate Kid 1 he looked a whole 10 years older he looked like 61 51 year old's these days can pass for 38 if they got good genes 51 year old's these days don't look anywhere near that old Ralph Macchio is now a whole 4 years older than Pat Morita when Karate Kid 1 was being filmed he is 55 now his birthday has just gone that is scary he doesn't look a day over 40 he has youthful genes.
shareLook at Max Von Sydow. He was just 46 in 'The Exorcist'. They did make him up to look older, but it probably wouldn't have been necessary.
no one in highschool looks so mature anymore when i was 17 i didn't look a day over 13 but people in the 60's and 70's who were 17 looked like they were 27 even 31.

66 is considered middle age these days middle age actually starts at 55 now later than it used to old age actually starts at 75 these days a lot later than it used to because people are living longer.
