I'm sorry but wikipedia said Henry and June MIGHT had been nemed after these two...is that true!? Heh, at least it'd give the grownups at the time something to laugh about...
shareI'm quite sure that the Henry and June from Kablam were named after this film. Seems too coincidental for them not to be. It was probably meant as an in-joke that not many people would get since this film was never very successful and not many people had ever heard of it.

If you watch that show now it was VERY inappropriate for kids. So I find it possible that Henry and June were named after these characters as an in-joke for the parents. I think sometimes cartoon creators get to caught up in making hidden innuendo that only they and the grow ups will get. This show was pretty overt. One of the super heroes was naked, for chrissakes.
