fire arms

i liked the movie, but anyone noticed the fire arms used in it? looked to me more like 19th century rifles than 16 century muskets don't you agree? again, movie was good, but i think it looked funny with those weapons :)

I've only seen it in low definitions on YouTube, but only one thing struck me as odd... that was the speed of the volleys.

A slight aside (no insult intended) the firearms used in this period were not muskets, but arqubusses https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arquebus... which are shorter and quite different looking to a musket.

The firearms looked ok to me, but they had front rank volley fire repeatedly and didn't show them re-loading, which was a time consuming process. This probably added to your view of them being akin to modern rifles.
