damn!

The movie was on TV yesterday night. I really wanted to see it so bad, cause I heard pretty good things about it. Because I had no time at all I tried to record it. But the movie was too long for the video cassette, so the last part's missing, right there, where it finally started getting interesting. (i hate when something like that happens. All because of the damn commercials after every 20 min!!!) I don't wanna rent the whole thing, just for the last 10 minutes. So is there someone that can give me a short resumé of what happened after the guy (robert redford) found out, that the woman's husband was still alive!!! Please. I'd really appreciate it.

OK, Ill tell you if you want me to. But.... The last 1/2 hour of the movie is the best part of the whole 2.5 hour film. I went out and bought the DVD because of it. Many people did'nt get it but I think this was a great film and the ending made it that way.

He sacrifices quite a bit to get her husband out of jail and back home. He finds something about himself that he did not know. And he is forever changed. There are two scenes at the end that are great. One is when he meets her just before he takes the last ferry back to Miami and the other is him on the beach in Key West 5 years later...not to mention the music etc.

Everytime I'm in the Caribbean since I've seen this film, I have the urge to order "Anjeo and Coffee" in the morning. :)

Maybe I'm a bit sentimental or maybe just because I can relate to this but I've watched the ending several times. It is interesting because I think it is a love story as seen through the guys eyes...kind of rare if you ask me.

For what it's worth I'd at least rent it again. A good movie is like a good book, you can watch it again and look for something else. Once you know the story you can pay attention to the dialogue or the music or the camera work etc. Lot's of reasons to see it again.

Enjoy.

Thanks a lot! :)

With the dialogues and the little things you're really right. When there's a movie I pretty much liked, I always watch it several times. Looking for little details and the subtle things in a movie or book you enjoyed is actually the best part.

Why do you keep saying 5 years later. 1959 to 1963 is four years.
