Havana ok, but......

A few here have said that Havana was a great movie, or beautiful to watch, but it is nowhere as good as The Lost City, which was a far better movie about Cuba.

If you want to watch a quality movie about Cuba, with a much better story, acting, and scenery, The Lost City not Havana is the real movie to watch.

The Lost City, haven't seen it, but will based on your comment.

Just one thought . . I think the posters who said this was a great movie and/or beautiful to watch, weren't really commenting on it being a great movie "about" Cuba. I'll take your word on it regarding The Lost City being a better movie about Cuba.

Like Casablanca, Havana was a love story. Like Casablanca, Havana wasn't really about Havana. In the same vain, Casablanca wasn't really about Casablanca. They were just settings for the real story which was about nobility, unrequited love, class, etc. etc.

Comparing Redford/Olin with Bogart/Bergman, well come on now all you posters, let's be honest, yeah Havana was good, but let's face it, the chemistry between Bogart and Bergman may only happen once in a lifetime.

Absolute truth is an objective reality that exists totally independent of what anyone thinks or feels about it.

There may be better movies about Cuba, better movies about the rise of Communism, better movies about the fall of Batista, etc.

But there are no better movies.
