Do you think Happily Ever After would've achieved greater success when it was first released?

I remember hearing so much about Happily Ever After when it was released on video when I was a little girl but I didn't get around to seeing it until my mother rented it for me and I was blown away by the storyline and fantastic animation and what I think made Happily Ever After such a hit was the celebrity cast of voices. I was surprised that Irene Cara provided the voice of Snow White and was fantastic in the role and Malcolm McDowell was awesome as Lord Maliss and really brought him to life. The Seven Dwarfelles really stole the show and you just got to love Tracey Ullman as Thunderella and she was an absolute cutie and the song she sings If The Sun Can Keep Shining Bright is so great but even though Thunderella was really scared of trying new things and thunder especially I admired her skill to keep on trying and you could see that she really was a hero at the end. The other Dwarfelles I liked and Zsa Zsa Gabor's Blossom is really marvelous while Critterina had energy while Marina cared deeply about the ocean and I was surprised that actress Linda Gary pulled off both their voices with aplomb and Carol Channing was just silly as Muddy. Had people noticed how successful Happily Ever After would become I think a sequel would've been possible. The end title song Love Is The Reason is one of Irene Cara's best ballads and I think she was planning a musical comeback with this movie. But why did they put a commercial for Chiquita Bananas at the end and advertise Ramada on the box? Did they sponsor Happily Ever After?
