Which Snow White do YOU like best?

I was wondering on your opinion of which Snow White you like best? The Original 1937 Snow White or the Happily Ever Snow White? Tell me what you think!
Sincerely,

I personally liked this one better. The snow white in the other one sounded like she was on helium, when she talked AND sang.

DEFINITELY this one. i dance to the mother nature song every time i watch it. and i fondly nicknamed the character of Sunburn, "Butch"

reply

I like this one better coz in the 1937 one, Snow White was way too childish and naive.

But then again, she is supposed to be a child. Or well, 14 or 15. And she is supposed to have lived in the castle for her entire life, so she wouldn't know that much about the outside world.

Let there be light.

Obviosly the Original.. This one.. erk. Badd..

Both Snow White's have their good points and their bad points. I like Each one for different reasons, so it's hard to say.... I prefer the voice actress for the Happily Ever After version though.

This one is most definitely the best one. It's absolutely hilarious and so much better than the original; it's more modern and has such good songs and really good characters, and its a reminder of my childhood, especially the sound of her footsteps, dunno why but it always stuck with me. This one, hands down!!!!

Definitely the original. This one was cute but it seemed more five-year old like. No offense to those who liked it, of course! I'm not calling you guys five-year olds! I'm just saying that the original was more mature and I'm a sucker for Grumpy and Dopey...especially Dopey. Okay, I admit it, as a four year old I had a four year old crush on Dopey...you know, the one where you're like, "I'm gonna marry him!" and you play with his little action figure the most. Yeah, it was that kind of crush.

Much love and BIG KISSES,

The original one more mature? Well I think you could argue that. Did the first one have giant dragons that glowed fiery eyes, were people turned into stone in the blink of an eye, rooms full of monsters and other frightening elements? The first one, if anything, was the one that wasn't mature and probably suited for little children. And also stuck with the original fairytale more closely.

But getting back on topic, I prefer this one by a landslide. Plus, the villain in this is one of my all time favorites.

I like this Snow White better. Visually, the 1937 version has better animation, music, etc., but that Snow White struck me as being too childlike. Her voice, demeanor, and attitude all gave me the impression of a young girl, no more than fourteen-years-old. Thus, her role of a heroine is regulated to minimal activity (cooking and cleaning for the dwarves), because a young teenager is not going to be doing much in terms of attempting to change her situation. Her reliance is upon the prince to rescue her from the abuse of her step-mother, and later the dwarves to provide her with shelter and food (although this exchange is mutual, as they need her probably more than she needs them).

This Snow White is portrayed as a little more older (she is going to get married), wiser, and more empowered. She is also braver, like slapping Lord Malice (even though the scene had me laughing for all the wrong reasons), trying to protect the dwarfelles from the wolves, attempting to fight off the dragon (with a stick, mind you, but you have to make do with what you find). She has more spunk, more personality, and the viewer can understand her actions and sympathize with her a lot more.

I like this one better than the original. I liked it better way back then when I was a kid, and I like it better now. I like the voice acting, and overall look of this Snow White more. In the Disney version, Snow White is so immature. "My prince will come for me and I don't have to do anything! Oh, look a strange old lady! I'll take that apple!" In this one she at least has some fight in her. And she's saving her prince rather than him saving her. She's also more mature, and tries to solve her own problems than let someone else solve them for her. I also like the dwarfelles better than the dwarves. I also like Lord Malice much more than I like the Queen in the Disney version.

I love both of them, for different reasons. But I did prefer the VA for this Snow White.
