If Disney did it...

...would you have liked it?

I read a lot of user comments for this movie and people are split down the middle. People remember it and love it, or they remember it and hate it. My question is, if Disney did a sequel to Snow White using this plot...would you have liked it more and what do you think they would have done differently?

I bet they would have used to dwarfs again, obviously. Snow White seemed to be a stronger character than in the first one, because she actually goes on an adventure in this one. I wonder if they would have used Lord Maliss or if they would have found a way to bring back the Queen. What do you guys think.

They wouldn't have.

I think they would have brought back the queen. Also the queen would have probably been the villain again, or her sister, or something along those lines rather than her brother.

I don't think the prince would have been transformed into anything like the "Shadow Man", (maybe but I doubt it) he would have probably been put in a dungeoun, or had a spell put on him that made him fall in love with the Queen, or some other female villain, or something like that.

I don't think there would have been a mother nature either, maybe a good fairy, but no mother nature. And no dwarfelles, they would have just used the seven dwarves.

That's my two cents anyway, I really hope they never make an official Disney sequel of Snow White.

Actually not all Disney films have done well critically and/or financially.. Some of the classics even failed pretty hard-core at the box office. "Pinnochio", "Fantasia", "Sleeping Beauty". None of those films did well on initial release, "Fantasia" didn't turn a profit for the company until the 60's. Also some Disney films like "The Black Cauldron" and "Home on the Range" have received dismal reviews and few of there sequels receive critical success. Your comment just shows that you have a hate of the company wihtout a true knowldege of there products reception in the mass market.

Rosedaughter is right. Just because it's Disney does not mean it will be well- received (but when they are, it's usually deserved). You may be thinking of Pixar (I do remember reading a review for the Oscars where one critic actually said they should just award Best Animated Picture to Pixar automatically. That is just... wow. Stupid.)
ANYWAY, back to Happily Ever After. Personally I think I like this movie so much because I can acknowledge that it is pretty terrible. That's the appeal of it- it reminds me of childhood. If Disney had done it they would have worked too hard on it. It's good the way it is. Silly.

Amen to that, somehow, you know it's not good, but you just can't quit liking it. When I was little I just thought it was as awesome as sliced bread.

Filmation did work on it pretty well. The only reason why it's not soo great is the fact that they had to get rid of dwarves and some other things cause of Disney that sued them just because they wanted to use their dwarves even though dwarves' storyline came from the original fairytale made a long time ago.
