Absolute Stinker

How the guy who made The Exorcist churned this clunker out I have no idea ... Its not just that its bad ... Its truly AWFUL ... Nothing flows ... The initial idea was interesting but is put on screen in such a way as to barely tell the story competently ... And in the end that can only come down to the director ... An absolute dog of a film

I disagree, sure the story has been done before and it's not believable, but does anybody believe in ghosts?
It's stylishly done, dark, great gruesome kills, and genuinely not bad acting. I was never bored for a second, it flowed greatly, the editing and soundtrack were fine.
Sure beats all these new CGI teeny bopper horrors being churned out.

I really liked the film as well. No it's not perfect but I found it entertaining. Jenny Seagrove was pretty good as Camilla. I actually liked the soundtrack. It was different. I agree the film is very dark and a lot like a grown up version of a Grimm fairy tale.

I did wish that some of the scenes from the NBC version would had stayed in the theater release though. Carey lowell had more screen time in The NBC version and some of those scenes could had strengthen her character in the theater release.

I also found it interesting how this movie was even made since there were so many issues. I am also surprised Jenny Seagrove never really grew on the American audience. I think she is so underrated.
