Why is it...? (possible SPOILERS)

Why is it that in horror films people always seem to report EXACTLY what happened to the police? No matter how mental it makes them sound?

In this film he tells them that she was flying! I know she WAS but thats not the point. He doesn't have to mention that bit. It doesn't help the police, it just makes him appear slightly unhinged.

It just annoys me because the moment they do it you know the police won't help.
They'll just think they were drunk.

Do the police really hear THAT many fantastic stories to where they wouldn't believe people who seem serious?
While I know that suspension of disbelief is required to watch MOST films,I can't help thinking that if somebody told me something bizarre, and yet didn't look intoxicated, high or insane that I would at least check out what they were saying. And that might add a new dimension to the movie.

But it also might require a better writer...soooo...LOL

No offense...but your style of writing makes reading even that more difficult

I think about that when I see 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space'. In that scenario, I would have just said that some folks in masks, were causing havoc. LOL

I honestly don't think I would had said anything about Camilla flying through the tree's.

I would at least check out what they were saying. And that might add a new dimension to the movie.

The detective (Xander Berkeley) did say they check out the woods and found carvings of the babies and couldn't find anything on Camilla since everything was fake.
