What she does in this film is mesmerizing. Shes tough, vulnerable, funny and touching as the unorthodox parent. The last scene alone has to be the best acting I've ever seen her do. Well deserved Oscar nod.

I am watching The Grifters now and I am blown away by Angelica Hustons role as Lily Dillon.Her best performance for sure.This and The Addams Family and The Witches.
