Surprised!

Had so much fun and truly cant wait for the sequel.

But cant have Gizmo dying.

I think some people just did not like the more cartoonish approach. I liked this movie though. I would not mind a new sequel. They do not need to bring back the original actors of the main protagonists.

There were lots of people in their 50's in the original movie. Older people can be in movies you know.

JOE DANTE WASNT INTERESTED IN DOING A PART 2...THE STUDIO TRYED AND FAILED TO DEVELOP IT ON THEIR OWN...WHEN THEY CAME BACK TO DANTE,HE SAID YES ON THE CONDITION HE COULD DO WHAT HE WANTED...WHAT HE WANTED TO DO WAS AHEAD OF ITS TIME AND CONFUSED THE STUDIO AND AUDIENCES.

I had no idea this bombed. As a kid, I liked it better than the first film. Probably should rewatch.

Sad news though. They’re trying to remake it and not in the best way.

Wish they’d just make it like the second and it would be a laughing matter but they dont got the balls.
