John Wayne or Hulk Hogan fixing the Gremlin interferrence?

Do you prefer the video scene where the tape stops and the Gremlins make shadow puppets and it switches to a John Wayne movie and he's facing off against the 3 Gremlins and he defeats them and the picture gets back to normal, or the DVD and I guess original theater one, where they take over the theatre and show a girly film and Hulk hogan threatens to come up there and restores order?

I go with the Duke.

Gonna say John Wayne.... but that might have something to do with the fact with that being the version I grew up seeing.

It's too bad the DVD doesn't igve you the option to watch either version but at least they included the John Wayne VHS bit as an easter egg!

I only saw the one with Hulkster in the theater telling the gremlins to knock it off. I love it that he rips off his shirt, like he did at Wrestlemanina. I wonder how he could then sit back down in his seat like that.

As fun as both scenes are, it's a pity they didn't come up with something adapted for the DVD format (neither the film breaking nor the VCR tape freezing really work to sell the idea of Gremlins stopping a DVD)

Someone on Youtube was able to make a pretty impressive scene to take the DVD place. Apparently even Joe Dante himself was impressed. The only thing I missed was the Gremlin "shadow puppets" that were in the other two versions.

The Duke is awesome, but I have to go with The Hulkster. Definitely his best movie, outside of Rocky III.

The Duke. 1. Its the version I grew up with. 2. It's mot as dated as having Hulk Hogan. While it is amusing it's the only joke I feel that dates the movie. 3. There's more Gremlin action with the Duke!

I like both.

I'd say Hogan because I first saw this twice in the theatres when it came out so that's what I remember, plus I firmly believe in keeping the movie in its original version when released on video, DVD, etc. When I first saw this in video, I was like WTF is this? Plus, all my friends who hadn't seen it in the theatre kept calling B-S when I told them Hogan was in it!
