What was Kate's "Lincoln's birthday story"?

We never get to hear the whole story. What happened to her on Lincoln's birthday?

reply

It's a joke. A reference to the famous Santa story in Gremlins.

No, I know that, but I'm just curious what actually happened to her. All we hear is her saying she sees a guy that looks like Abe Lincoln who goes "Hello, little girl."

Yep, that's the gist of it. Hence why she hates the flasher Gremlins so much. But the joke of the bit is no one cares about her story.

Kate: oh, god! Don't even mention St.Patrick's Day! There was this small man, dressed in green...

Billy: ok, sweetie, that's enough.

reply

At the tail end she says 'wearing a trench coat so yeah, he flashed her.

It reminds me of Kramer's park story from the keys episode where he goes to LA. "maybe the pervert in the park had a present in his pants, huh?"

Cardboard Box is the Future.

I think it was just a joke referencing in the original why she hated Christmas. This was just another holiday she hated.

Definitely a joke about her santa story from the first movie. Instead of her telling the entire thing again he just cuts her off. If you watch the first movie closely as she's telling the santa story, he's not even paying attention. He's looking for a phone lol

It was a reference to how overboard and silly the original speech was; even back in 1990 it was laughed at.

Best part was how serious the camera and score was but how everyone else didn't give an eff. One of the best 4th wall mentions in film.
