One of the worst movies ever made

So, I had completely forgotten about this movie. We watched the first one a few days ago, and watched the second one yesterday ... Loved the first one ... hated the second one! I get that it was meant as a spoof, and basically made fun of the first movie, but man, it was painful to watch. We cringed more than we actually laughed, and it kinda ruined the first movie for us. It's going to take some time to blank this one out of our minds so we can go back to appreciating the original movie.

I really wish they'd done a serious sequel, and put more effort into it. This feels like it was done in a rush to earn a quick buck. The script was junk.

When it first came out, I saw it 4 times in the theater. Loved it.

I liked it. Much different feel from the 1st one. This was just a fun comedy.
1st one was scary as a young kid

Pfft. Does every film have to have someone calling it the worst ever?

This if a good film, not to the level of the first but good fun nonetheless.

Sure it's not without its flaws, but worst movie ever? Come on. It's good fun. Haviland Morris is stunning as a real-life Jessica Rabbit. Sir Christopher Lee is in it playing the role of a mad scientist which he does brilliantly. All the 80's nostalgia (despite that it came out in '90) it oozes of. If you're burnt out with that, I guess I can sort of see why you'd dislike it.

They really went over the top with this one! It's just insane. I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but the second viewing I actually liked it more. Maybe it's because I knew going in they were playing it completely for comedy.

The first Gremlins had a ridiculous premise, but they treated it somewhat seriously. It was genuinely scary at times.

I loved the original Gremlins, but never had the slightest bit of interest or curiosity about the sequel. I recently watched the original in 4K and was reading trivia about it... supposedly Joe Dante himself thinks Gremlins 2 is the better movie. That's what made me want to finally see it. I wouldn't say it's better than the original, but it's a good fun time.
