OK, I finally got it! Toward the end of the film, there's a floating feather. I'm not sure if the use of this image in "Forrest Gump" is an homage or just another example of Hollywood's lack of ideas. I'm going to go with the latter.

BTW, Forrest Gump was mentioned in Prince's "Eye Hate U" (extended remix ver.) song. He says "It's just like that feather in Forrest Gump, floating through the air, floating through the air..."

I got my fiance a copy for Christmas using Walmart's Site-To-Store ordering. You go to http://www.walmart.com & pay for it (it was less than $10 even after sales tax). They ship it ASAP to the Walmart closest to you or whatever store location you pick. Then you go & pick it up - no shipping fees! Of course, if you want to pay those fees, you can just have the movie shipped to your home address.

P.S. Hah! Forrest Gump. I saw that while coming down from an acid trip. That goddamned feather at the beginning drove me NUTS. I sat watching it drift and float and finally I jumped up and screamed, *beep* FALL, already! Christ!" before my friends could drag me back into my seat and shut me up.
