Didnt understand the song till now
'Bang Bang All over you...' meaning sexually. Guess this song was his Darling Nikki version for this movie. Suprised I didnt pick up on what he was singing about till now. But guess cuz I was a kid when movie first came out so was clueless :-)

Come on Mat I'm not a kid no more ~ I have it on my MP3 and hear the words exactly and doubt he wanted to bang Morris ~ but I do see your point that he was using it initially as an outlet to showcase his badness over The Time but it still was another version of how he came on stage with Darling Nikki.
Only diff is that he did this performance on the streets causing them to come out and pay attention rather than within the club while they were seated and having drinks. And if you notice from both scenes (Purple Rains Darling Nikki to this song) ~ both ended with him chasing the girl who leaves with Morris.
This one was much more quicker with Morris getting Aura drunk and into his limo with Jerome. While in Purple Rain it was scenes later where Morris got rid of Jerome and tried to hook up with Apples in an alley. Both events ended with Prince coming after the girl.
