I watched The Godfather, Goodfellas and Scarface for the first time in the same weekend years ago and after starting with The Godfather Part 1 I was underwhelmed by the rest of the movies (including GF2). Still great movies but GF1 is a masterpiece.

I tried watching the godfather about a month ago and I couldn't get into it. Not my cup of tea. Conversly I can watch Goodfellows or casino over and over

I can't help how I feel. One of my favorite films from the 70s is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It's more interesting than the Godfather too.

Apples and oranges. The Godfather is like going to the opera. Goodfellas is like going to a punk concert.

It's a different style of movie. Goodfellas is more entertaining and close to movies we are used today. But The Godfather is more powerful imo.

MARLON BRANDO IS AMAZING IN THE GODFATHER...WHEN HE ISNT ONSCREEN OR AFTER HIS CHARACTER DIES...I LOSE ALL INTEREST...SOOOO BORING...GOODFELLAS IS AMAZING OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
