is this supposed to take place in the 70's?
I must say, it does not look it. Actually, the spiked haircut that Pacino sports in this film looks very modern day boy-bandish.
shareThe film looks more like the time period it was actually filmed (1989) and Michael's, along with the entire Mafioso in New York, apparel would fit perfectly in another movie that came out at the same time, "King of New York".
Only a handful of set designs and scenes where we see late 70s model Cadillacs and those fugly long leather jackets does it imply that we're in the 1979/1980 era.
