Benign...


I saw this when it came out. I found it inoffensive. Anything that made me think it above average was from the goodwill generated by the 2 "Jean de Florette" movies. I tried to watch it later with a friend.
She had a hissy fit hallfway through because so little was happening.

I watched it again last night.
She has a point. But there's no need to get all reactionary about it.

Things that happen to everybody (who don't go make movies about it) happen. There's kind of no there there, in this movie (for me).

It might serve as a worldy movie to show your kids (who can read), to expand their minds.
