Just after the love scene, we a view looking up at the building that Sam worked in. Actually, we see that building as well as another one. with the American Flag flying. It looks rather the way one might imagine it would be to look up out of a grave. The next scene was when Sam made the fatal mistake of confiding in Carl that there was too much money in the accounts.
Or, am I looking too deeply into it?

When Marty tried to waken up Doc in the saloon, through the window we can see the
Biff mob riding past the soon-to-be-lifted City-Hall Clock, and coming for Marty.
This is one of the most symbolically beautiful scenes in the whole trilogy.
I understand it as the movie authors' reminder that time is always running out, even for those who have a Time Machine at their disposition.
