Where's the Swayze's Best Actor nom for Ghost?! I don't recall anyone seeing the movie for Whoopi.

shareWell, dead or alive we judge an actor for his body of work. I love Swayze, I think he kinda is the perfect representation of the 80s. He belonged to the 80s, it was a perfect fit for him. Just for that he has my total respect. But if we talk about his acting skills, he was no wear near from being a bad actor, but he wasn't the greatest around neither.
As for his performance in Ghost, I honestly wouldn't say that it was worthy of an Academy Award nomination. Unfortunately, I can't say that I've ever seen him pull out an Oscar worthy performance.
But I might be wrong and if you can name me one movie where he did an amazing job, I will most certainly watch it.
